Having worked with Dr Marwan, I thought he was brilliant. He showed compassion, diligence and a high level of expertise. Was easy to get on with, but also did what was best for me without fail! As a player with the England Partially Sighted Squad I have known Dr Marwan for the past 7 years. As someone who has always been reluctant to visit a doctor, Marwan has always made me feel really reassured, he’s so professional, personable and I’ve always found him to have a really holistic approach to anything I’ve brought to him. I have worked with Marwan for over 20 years in a professional sporting environment. I have found Marwan to be a brilliant doctor. He has compassion, great people skills and outstanding medical knowledge. He works well under pressure particularly trauma on game days and can handle stressful situations with a calm, focussed and positive manner. After needing an operation for a broken wrist, I soon developed shoulder pain and stiffness. I saw several physios and GPs which unfortunately made no impact. I was eventually referred to Dr Marwan. By this time my arm was affecting my quality of life really badly and it was starting to get me down. I couldn’t use deodorant or wash my hair. My husband had to help me get dressed. Sleeping was awkward so I was tired.

When I saw Dr Marwan he was so personable and it was an easy, nice, relaxing situation. He explained exactly what was going on (a frozen shoulder), what was causing the pain and what could be done about it. He offered me a procedure called a Hydrodistension. Dr Marwan explained what it was really clearly and what to expect. I had absolute faith in him and he made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen. I thought the procedure might be uncomfortable, but it wasn’t and I got instant relief.

Going from nothing to suddenly being able to lift my arm really high, it was just like a miracle. It’s given me my quality of life back; things were just back to normal.

I have worked with Dr Marwan for quite a number of years now with England Rugby League being the highlight of our time. Up there with the best I’ve worked with in my 16 year rugby career, he’s helped me get back on the field in record time on numerous occasions so I didn’t miss vital games. He is a fantastic professional with quality paramount to his services. Highly recommended.
